Design and Appearance
Dell Inspiron 15 5570 comes with a premium appearance and its smooth white color is quite matured. Although it is white, it is resistant to stain or print due to its smoothness thus it never gets dirty neither does it need cleaning. The time consuming anodizing aluminum process was used in molding its metal body giving it a smooth, delicate, protective, and decorative finish. The metal build process of this laptop ensures that it is resistant to corrosion and abrasion thus its body cannot get rusted.
Specs-wise, the Dell Inspiron 15 5570 comes with an Intel 8th Generation Core i7-8550U processor, 8GB DDR4 RAM, and a discrete AMD Radeon 530 GPU. By the looks of it, at the very least, this is an entry-level gaming device. The performance is often not sufficient to handle modern games in the native resolution, dangling below 30fps for demanding games.
Casual competitive games such as DoTA 2 is able to punch at 60fps just fine. Aside from that, video hobbyists can expect the notebook to handle video editing and effects rendering decently.
As a multimedia device, however, the small 128GB SSD is a little unfortunate as the storage cap blew away in no time.
Let’s talk briefly about a few other features.
On the right, there is an SD card slot and a USB 2.0 port. The left side hosts ports for the power connector, USB 3.1 Type-C, HDMI, LAN, USB 3.1 Type-A, and headset/ microphone. This is all standard fare, but it’s good to know that the notebook isn’t missing out on connectivity. It also comes with an integrated webcam. Those planning on using this for content creation, keep in mind the quality is a mess of noise, shimmers, and grainy elements in the video. Interestingly, the touchpad is awesome to use. While it does detect up to the peripheral areas, it has a measure of control and is able to ignore finger- slips along its edge.
All-in-all, the next-gen Dell Inspiron 15 5570 is a reliable and functional notebook.
It’s a good workstation, handles multimedia viewing well, and can cater to small gaming itches. The device’s specs aren’t supreme, but the
processor and SSD allow for a more seamless experience. While it’s all good in the user experience department, the price for this all-new Dell
Inspiron is on the hefty side – a cool. This is, roughly, up from the older model. The new notebook includes upgrades to the processor, bigger
RAM, slightly more memory for the AMD Radeon 530, and a 128GB SSD.

15.6-inch Ultra-thin bezel ScreenStill, I’m not feeling the solid jump in price for these few changes. In fact, I might prefer the more affordable configurations over what this review is using.
Dell Inspiron 15 5570 uses a 15.6-inch large-screen anti-glare with a resolution of 1920 x 1080. Regrettably, this laptop does not have an ultra-thin bezel design which is the latest display technology in the industry. The top and bottom bezels are thicker than the side frames because the top bezel contains the webcam while the bottom frame has the “DELL” logo.
Speakers
Similar to the Dell Inspiron 15 7570, the rear of this laptop has a group of speakers systematically arranged in order to maximize the sound effect. Apart from the systematic arrangement, these speakers use Wave Maxx.
Audio Pro technology delivers audited professional sounds with pure treble and vigorous bass which collectively gives an amazing sound experience.
Heat Dissipation
Most of the heat was concentrated on the central parts of the laptop while the sides regions accumulated very minimal temperature. On the rear, the maximum temperature was also concentrated in the central region and the rear region was relatively cool. This means that using this laptop on your lap for long periods is not recommended.
Letdowns
- The Display is the biggest flaw of the Inspiron-15 5570. Even with maximum brightness, the screen is poorly lit with low contrast, poor viewing angles, and an overall below-average viewing experience. While most modern laptops used IPS panels, the TN panel in this laptop works to its detriment.
- The surface and the back-lid gets smudged very easily and needs constant wiping to be kept clean.
- The plastic material isn’t really resistant to torsion and bending – the center of the lid bounces back quite visible even when small pressure is applied.
- The keyboard doesn’t have any LED backlight, which is a standard even less expensive laptops adhere to nowadays. Also, the keyboard offers flex.
Reasons to buy Dell Inspiron 15 5570
- Fairly portable: The Dell Inspiron 15 5570 is quite portable for 15- inches with a weight of just 2.12 kg and a 19.9 mm thin profile so you can comfortably carry it around with you throughout the entire day.
- Even the lowest configurations support an M.2 SSD and 2.5-inch HDD.
- Another plus of the device lies in the storage department. Even if you go for the lowest configuration, you will still be presented with a standard 2.5-inch HDD/SSD bay and an M.2 SSD slot.
